  2. Thank you Frances, the Bears are on their way to you, so many of them packed into just 32 pages. It's very nice to think of them arriving in New York and having a place on your bookshelf. (I wonder what the Bear family would do in New York - there's almost a new story in that!)
    Blessings,

  3. Frances, please forgive me this tardy message letting you know how much I love your beautiful book!

The adaptation of the traditional story is lovely, and your paintings are truly sublime! I am sure that you and your Bears would have a fine time discovering their own version of a stay in New York. They probably would not want to hibernate during this festive season, but ... I would leave that up to their wishes.

  5. Frances, I think I may be your most recent "follower".
I found your blog, while looking up information on "The Worker in Sandlewood", as I would like to share my love of this story and book on my blog. I came across this lovely illustrated version in the library many years ago, and enjoyed it so much, tht it became a tradition for me to read it every Christmas. So I just wanted to say how nice it is and really remarkable to find your blog.
